WELCOME TO YARRAGON PRIMARY SCHOOL

Yarragon Primary School & Early Learning Centre provides a caring and challenging learning environment that prepares students to become lifelong learners and valued members of society.

At Yarragon K-6 School we have an emphasis on the professional learning community approach which caters for each child's learning in a child-centred program that has high expectations for each child. We combine this with comprehensive literacy and numeracy programs, developmental learning, and critical and analytical thinking skills.

Our specialist programs include AUSLAN, Physical Education, STEM, and Visual Art. Our students have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of extra-curricular activities to further enhance their learning.

Parents have the opportunity to be involved at many levels within the school, including School Council, Parents Club, assisting in the classroom, working bees, camps, excursions, sharing expertise with children and coaching sporting teams.

This partnership is highly valued by our staff and school community. Yarragon Primary School is an integral part of the local community.

Our school's central purpose is to provide students with a safe, happy, positive learning environment that values individual and group excellence.

Victorian Container Deposit Scheme

(CDS VIC)

Yarragon Primary School and Early Learning Centre has been officially approved as a donation partner for Victoria’s Container Deposit Scheme (CDS Vic).

We would love for you to support us by using our code when dropping off your cans and bottles at the depot.

What can I return?

Most aluminium, glass, plastic and liquid paperboard (carton) drink containers between 150mL and 3 litres are eligible.

Check for the 10c mark

Look for the 10c mark on the drink container label. It is often located near the barcode.

A few handy tips:

We recommend you don’t crush containers, as most refund points can't accept them if containers have been crushed.

There are some drink containers that are not eligible for a refund. Generally excluded containers are those that are less than 150mL and greater than 3 litres. Many of these containers can still be recycled in your kerbside bins.
